Moving up in the world....

Well, for an hour or two on the career ladder anyway.  Last week I got summoned to the Houston corporate headquarters to sign some documents pertaining to a patent I'm partly responsible for in the UAE.  The office is in an area of the city called River Oaks near the Galleria in the west end.  The building used to be the Minute Maid (yes those people that make Orange juice) headquarters until Weatherford took it over a few years ago to consolidate a bunch of other buildings.  This place was seriously plush!  Marble everywhere, subsidised canteen, gym and on site baby care.  It certainly makes our offices seem like a bit of dump, or at the very least a throw back to the 70's!

Talk about 'them' and 'us'!
