First Post

So I thought I'd put together a blog to keep people up to date with what we've been up to since leaving Scotland in September and starting our new adventure in the USA!  I partly created this as I appear to be terrible at keeping touch with everyone and also to record our experiences for posterity.  Hopefully it'll make for some interesting reading and I'll try to keep posts brief and regular rather than bombarding everyone!
